Community Activities
On the 12th of August, an army of approx. 50 women, including Francesca Capaldi from W Storey Funeral Service, will be walking 22 miles from Whitby to Saltburn along the coast road to raise funds for Ovacome
www.ovacome.org.uk , a charity supporting those affected by Ovarian Cancer.
The walk will take between 6-7 hours. Francesca has a very personal reason for this challenge as her friend Emma was recently diagnosed with low-grade ovarian cancer which is unfortunately incurable.
Francesca also has close female family members who have suffered with this cancer and lost their lives to it.
The more money raised, the bigger the difference it will make to people like Emma and her family.
